Two photographs (check the hand positions), from the Pompidou catalogue and the Catalogue, showing Mondrian with his brother Carel and Carel's wife Mary at the 278 boulevard Raspail studio. B237 is leaning against the table and B269, B267 and B268 are on the left.

As noted above, Winifred Nicholson was the painting's first owner and the third photograph, from Darwent's Mondrian in London shows the Nicholsons' Jake and Kate at Bankshead with B237 in the background.

B254, B261 and B260 (an early version of B307) were shown in the 1934/35 Abstract and Concrete exhibitions in Oxford, London and Liverpool.

The installation photograph is from Darwent's Mondrian in London and shows another view of the 1936 Abstract and Concrete exhibition, this from the Lefevre Gallery. It shows with B254, B260 (an early version of B307) and B261.
