I'm not sure where to locate this, in terms of which page, or where on that page. It is a thing I would love to own, but the seller refused to ship outside the US, despite my appeals for special consideration. As a Blackburn and an avid camper, forgive my indulgence in pictures.

The Bells of Carmel (Mission Days in California) by Edith H. Blackburn, Illustrated by Frank Nicholas, Aladdin Books, New York, 1954. Hardbound, 5 1/4" x 8" x 1", 191 pages. This book is a discard from an elementary school library. It is in good condition, spine/binding intact, the cover corners are rounded a bit. Inside cover pages have paper residue where checkout information has been moved, "Discard 3-01" has been written in marker on one page, school name is stamped in several places throughout book. The book cover is actually blue, I'm not sure why the photo shows it to be green.

This is a great juvenile book about a family that inherits a cabin in California with a lot of mystery. It's very hard to find. The book is in pretty good shape, especially for an ex library book. There are 155 tightly bound pages and it was published by Sterling Publishing in 1956. There are the usual ex library markings. The going price with a dust jacekt is $47, so you can see what a deal you can get on this item.

If I win the auction, I'll know whether it is the same Edith H. - can't quite tell from the picture.
