And they've named an Alaskan mountain after us.
Details
here
(Adobe Acrobat required). Warning: the article is
interesting but it may cause offence, opening, as it does, controversially, "Mt. Blackburn was named in 1885
by Lieutenant Henry Allen after General Blackburn ... [it] is a shame that this
name simply doesn't do justice to the magnificence of the "Jewel of the Wrangells". Harumph.

1866 CW Print: BRIDGE AT BLACKBURN'S FORD
An excellent civil war print titled: RUINS OF BRIDGE AT BLACKBURN'S FORD;
from the original first edition volume, dated 1866, printed just after the
final conflicts of the civil war. This 136 year old print is approx. 9.5 x 5
inches and would look great framed by itself or as part of a larger display.
Please note that the scan does not do this print justice. The print is
clear, sharp and bright with a clean border on all sides (some are larger
than my scanner) on a nice heavier paper, occasional light age spot, some
light edge toning. As this was part of a larger bound volume it may have
unrelated text or prints on the reverse. Would make a great addition to any
civil war collection.
