(9th Sep 2002) Mondrian Trinket Box Remember the Mondrian craze of the late 60's? This trinket box is done with a Mondrian design, brings back plenty of memories. It measures 5" in diameter and is unmarked. There is one tiny flea on the underside of the rim of the lid which is extremely hard to see (see photo below), but is otherwise in excellent condition
(16th Jul 2002) One of four mugs, rather over-priced on eBay. Nice, but not worth the price asked. 4 VANDOR NEW WAVE memphis MUGS MONDRIAN 1980 THESE FOUR ANGULAR MUGS ARE IN THEIR ORIGINAL SHIPPING BOX MARKED "A/#231 4PCS JAPAN" THIS IS HALF OF, FROM WHAT I LEARN IS A SET OF EIGHT DESIGNS MARKETED IN THE EARLY 80'S. SEE MY RELATED AUCTION FOR THE OTHER 4 MUGS. All still have the original sticker on the bottom reading "Vandor c 1980 MADE IN JAPAN". All in great condition and seemingly never used,they are a great period piece. Designed in 1980 and marketed for just a few short years to mix 'n match with the styles of the new wave Memphis craze.

(22nd Apr 2002) I have recently discovered what this Cow Parade thing is all about. There's a link here. There are good and bad cows with marvellous and terrible names. There also seem to be two makers of these things, and those which are readily available do not include Moondrian and Broadway Boogie Woogie. This is a shame, as I would really like to get hold of these. The third is Mooma, which is generally available. I have a "plush" here.

(21st Jun 2002) EAMES/MOD/50s/60s ABSTRACT CERAMIC TRAY/MAT AWSOME! NO RES This ceramic tray is awsome! Inspired by Mondrian and the Modern, it shows an irregular combination of red, yellow, brown and black rectangles with thick black, somewhat sketchy, outlines. The result is very successful and highly decorative. The ceramic work is inserted in an elegant medium brown wood. Was used, and has a number of specks and crazing due to heat. Overall in good condition.
(24th Mar 2002) Mondrian Tiles MONDRIAN inspired art mosaic tiles This set includes 6 hand-painted tiles. The ceramic tiles are 2x2" Paint has been heat set and has a durable, high-gloss permanent finish. Tiles are bright and fun. When cut into small squares these make a very interesting pattern. Recommend sand-free grout.

In 1988, after a period of eight years as an art teacher, I returned to Hobart to embark on post graduate studies at the Centre for the Arts. On this my second visit I wished to add to that valuable grounding by learning adifferent, more industry-based technique - that of slip casting. I enjoy the faceted and asymmetrical forms that slip casting enables me to produce. The angular, geometric shapes that I prefer derive from my fascination with the work of the Futurists, and the Expressionists, particularly Franz Marc. I now work from my studio at home producing a range of limited edition table ware that draws inspiration from Australian wildlife. More recently, I've been working on specialty "one-off" teapots for exhibition in various group shows across the nation. Such teapots acknowledge the many sources from which I derive inspiration. Hence "Tea with Sonia" and "Mondrian Musings".
(8th Jul 2002) This tile is by a one-time fellow-member of De Stijl. APPEL TILE LIKE DELFT THE STIJLE VAN DER LECK This week we have four DUTCH tiles at auction designed by Bart van der Leck age and period unknown but in a good condition and designed by one of the famous Dutch Artists who worked in the De Stijl movement like mondriaan and Rietveld one of the great examples's of the Dutch ART in the past century. See also the other one's we have as sayed four different one's. The shipping is for one $ 17 and every one more a additional $ 5. I was going to bit, but my favourite sold for $250 - that's several months' budget for the Collection. So it goes. Here are the other three tiles.

(4th November 2001) This striking glass bowl was inspired by Piet Mondriaan. Brightly coloured glass is fused together and then slumped to provide you with a piece of art by KilnArt Studio in Victoria. Because of the nature of the process each coloured glass field size may vary from piece to piece. 6" diameter, food safe, not recommended for dishwasher. GL 3213 $55.00	Link
(1st Sep 2002) I nearly bought this, but $20 is over the top. UNIQUE MURANO GLASS MONDRIAN STYLE PLATE This is a wonderfully unique paperweight from the collection of Piero Ragazzi. His work is characterized by the shape, design, and color of the piece, which is modern in its look and feel, yet created using the ancient techniques of a master who follows the age-old culture and tradition of Murano Glass "par excellence". Ragazzi drew his inspiration for this piece from the work of the modern artist Piet Mondrian. It is simply fantastic, and is sure to delight the serious collector of Murano Glass and fine glass artwork! This beautiful piece measures 3.75" in diameter, and is in excellent condition.
(15th Jun 2002) These keep popping up on eBay described a "Mondrian" and selling for �50. Can't understand why on either point. This beautiful Wedgwood Clarice Cliff vase is of the Mondrian design. It is a limited edition piece, in perfect condition. It has a certificate of authenticity

HAND APPLIED GLAZE IN PIET MONDRIAN STYLE. ART DECO ERA. NUMBER 2662 IMPRESSED INTO BOTTOM. CHIPPED IN 2 SPOTS UNDER CORNERS BARELY NOTICEABLE. VERY FINE VERTICAL HAIRLINE CRACK APPROXIMATELY 1.5" STARTING FROM TOP. STILL A VERY REPRESENTATIVE PIECE FROM THE ERA. GREAT COLORS.
(19th Jan 2002) HUGE and stunning Mid-Century Modern Italian vase with a Mondrian style to it. It has super geometric patterns in bold enamelled colors of yellow, blues, gold and red on a greyish-white background. It stands 18 1/2" tall It is in excellent condition with no damage. It is signed on the bottom "1128 Italy Hand Painted". This vase would look great along side other Eames Era to Danish Modern to Scandinavian pieces.

Spelling as published: Mondrain-like Italian 60`s Art Vase-Signed In bold geometric blocks with vivid contrasting colors, this striking Art Pottery vase is signed "Made in Italy 241/1 Created in Italy for Rosenthal Netter." Clearly designed in the 60`s. In excellent condition with just a tiny bit of glaze loss on the bottom front edge
(24th October 2001) Likewise: MAGNIFICENT PAIR FRENCH ART MODENE VASES 20'S You are bidding on a fabulous pair of handpainted French Deco-Moderne vases. Glass, which looks black in photo, is actually a rich, deep, deep amethyst. They are hand-enamelled in vivid yellow, lobster red and blue in a style reminiscent of a slightly tipsy Mondrian. A pair like this is a very rare find indeed, so enjoy the bidding! Both are in MINT condition.White spot on vase on left is reflection from flash. 8 inches high, 4.5 inches around at widest point.
