Notes:
18.1 The Samoan #1 is listed in four varieties in Scott:

The distinctions are rather fine for my sensibilities (e.g. the Type II has a broken line above the 'X' and a small dot near the upper right serif of the 'M'). The 1c is significantly more expensive and so I might settle for one of the others. Gibbons Simplified just specifies SG15 as 1d blue and notes that most examples found in old collections are worthless reprints. Mine (from a FICC auction, April 2004) is a Type III.

18.2 Montserrat #1 is an Antigua overprint. The first real Montserrat stamp is the 1880 2½ d red Sc3 SG9, but that is rather expensive at £225 / £65. I favour the ½d green Sc5 SG6, dated 1884 by Scott, at £1 / £6.50.
18.3 A Poonch Official is not mentioned in Mackay. Scott lists an 1888 Sc-O1 1d black handstamp.
18.4 For Poonch's last issue, five values from 1880-88, Scott lists six separate sets on differently coloured paper, the last being an inexpensive 2 anna red on lavender paper, Sc24. My Gibbons Simplified merely mentions that they were printed on different papers.
18.5 Mackay dates Mozambique's first airmail as 1946. Scott starts in 1938 with Sc-C1, 10 centavos red.
18.6 For Mozambique charity, Mackay specifies the impressive 1916 War Tax stamp, ScMR1 / SG234. Scott's first charity is the (equally impressive) 1920 B1 / SG309 for the benefit of war victims.
18.7 Johore's first stamp is a Straits Settlements handstamp overprint. Their first real stamp is the 1891 Sc19 2c lilac and yellow. The 1c purple Sc18 SG21 is dated 1894 by Scott.
18.8 Gold Coast's ½d  yellow and green stamps (SG 4 and 11a) were issued in 1879 and 1884. The only difference between Gold Coast #1 and #5 is the price and the perforations. I'll settle for a #5.
18.9 Gold Coast's first post due is rather fully-priced and so I will settle for the J2 D2.
18.10 Scott quotes Bhopal #1 as $300 min or used, Gibbons Simplified as £3 or £6. Presumably a variant of shade / paper etc.
18.11 Johore's first Postage Due, ScJ1 SGD1 is the least expensive of the group.
18.12 Mackay states 1921 for Cape Verdi's first commemorative, but I can't spot such a stamp in Scott or Gibbons. I'll go for the 1939.
18.13 Again on Mozambique I'm struggling to find Mackay's 1913 commemorative and so will go for the 1924.
