Notes:
28.1 Uganda's first issues (Sc1-53, SG1-53) were produced on a typewriter by Rev. Ernest Millar of the Church Missionary Society. Then come a series of overprints on same (Sc54-68, SG55-76) and then some 'proper' stamps. All of the reverend's issues are expensive, but the best value is the 18986 SG55 1 anna black. The example shown is the 55a variant with a small "o" in POSTAGE.
28.2 Brunei was originally listed on page 18 as starting in 1906.  Scott lists the 1895 issue as Sc-A1 through SC-A10, as they were only usable locally. Gibbons numbers them normally, hence the move to this page.
