Notes:
42.1 Ireland's first Post Due is rather expensive. I therefore opted for the cheaper option of the #2 (same design, better colour) priced (with a damaged corner) at an unbeatable 1p at the Sidcup Stamp Club Fair December 2003. On the airmail front, C1 (1d brown) was issued in 1949, C2 (3d blue) in 1948.
42.2 There is a gradual transition from Ubangi-Shari-Chad to Ubangi-Shari to French Equatorial Africa. It occurs in different places in Scott and Gibbons.
42.3 Similarly, with Tanganyika, there are overlaps with East African Protectorates, Kenya and Uganda  and Tanzania. For the first stamp, Gibbons begins in 1915 with IEF stamps overprinted G.R. POST MAFIA, numbered M33-M42, then 1916 Nyasaland overprints numbered N1-N5. 1917 begins the normal numbering range with SG45, a set of Kenya and Uganda overprints: Scott starts with this range of stamps, but with a 12c grey and dates it 1921. Finally,   Scott's O1 for Tanganyika is listed under KU&T in Gibbons.
42.4 Barbuda Charity. These were, to quote Scott, "crude surcharges" for the South Atlantic Fund on a booklet (Sc501) containing a variety of stamps featuring Charles and Di. Gibbons mentions all the stamps individually, of which I will take the first  (and cheapest).
42.5 The first stamps for British East Africa were issued in 1890. Then came East African and Ugandan Protectorates in 1903: while that is what is inscribed on the stamps, Gibbons lists these under Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika. In 1922 the inscription changed to Kenya and Uganda as above (although Scott lists the last few EA & U Protectorates under this heading as the name was changes officially in 1921), and Tanganyika (which previously used Kenya and Uganda overprints) also issued the first stamps in its own name. 1935 brought the first issue for
Kenya, Uganda & Tanganyika and in 1965 the name switched to Kenya, Uganda & Tanzania. From 1976, they continued to issue similar commemoratives but inscribed with single country names. In the meantime, Kenya issued its own stamp in 1963, Uganda in 1961 and Tanzania in 1964. I hope that's clear.
42.6 For League of Nations, Scott dates the 2 centimes bistre (Sc-2O1, SG-LN1) as 1928 and the 3 c blue (Sc-2O2, SG-LN2) as 1930, making #3 the first.

Notes:
43.1 All the first Lebanese stamps except the Charity were French overprints and surcharges. The first real Lebanese stamps are also listed.
43.2 Tripolitania's first commem is the same is its first stamp and, like  most of its subsequent ones, an Italian overprint. It's first real   commem in Gibbons is the 1927 issue above: Scott lists this as a semi-postal under Libya, with a couple of the higher value stamps as Tripolitania Express issues.
43.3 Gibbons only Tripolitania Official is Scott's only Tripolitania Air Post, Semi-Postal, Official. Given the price, the distinction is academic.
43.4 Spanish Sahara's airmails C1-C7, Spanish overprints were previously listed in Scott, but removed as their status is uncertain.
43.5 Gibbons lists the Transcaucasian Federation Sc14, but not Scott's #1 Russian overprint.
43.6 the first real stamp fr the Lebanon republic is the Sc108 SG157 commemorative.
