Notes:
46.1 The Kenya, Uganda Tanganyika & Zanzibar stamp shown is the first listed by Scott for that grouping. Curiously, the catalogue notes that it was not used in Zanzibar. After this set of 4 Olympic stamps, the catalogue returns to Kenya, Uganda & Tanganyika. Beats me. see also note 42.5 on earlier page.
46.2 For the Malayan Postal Union, Gibbons states that Postage Due stamps were used for normal postage in Straits Settlements and Federated Malay States from 1936 and more extensively through Malaya and Singapore during WW2. SG-D3 is the earliest (June 1936): the 1c purple (Sc-J7, Sg-D1) was issued in April 1938; the 4c green (Sc-J8, Sg-D2) in September 1936.

Notes:
47.1 Gibbons Hatay SG1 is a 1938 overprint of a Syrian stamp. Incidentally, the second commemorative Sc28 is included simply because it looks good and could be the start of another sub-collection - each country's Finest Stamp. this will be a lot easier with the new colour catalogues.
47.2 Italian East Africa's first Charity is not given a B prefix in Scott because (as the catalogue states) Italy and its colonies frequently issued sets including the odd charity stamp and so these are listed with the set rather than separately.
47.3 For Slovakian commemoratives, Scott shows an earlier 1939 issue Sc34-37 on the 20th anniversary of the death of Gen. Milan Stefánik but notes that these were not issued.
47.4 Given the price of Alexandretta's first commemorative, the fourth in that series might be preferable.
47.5 Though listed by Mackay, there is no straightforward listing for Sudetenland in Scott or Gibbons. My 1959 Stamp Collector's Encyclopaedia by R. J. Sutton states  that "Germany issued a set of two values in 1938 to celebrate the acquisition of this debatable territory from Czechoslovakia." Within the Czech listing, Gibbons notes that " Germany ... occupied Sudetenland where a number of unauthorised local issues were made."
47.6 German Occupied Poland - Gibbons calls this a Post Due, Scott a Rural Delivery stamp.
47.7 I cannot find Greek Occupied Albania in Scott.
47.8 In 1939, Germany occupied Czechoslovakia, divided it into the German Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and the independent state of Slovakia. Separate issues were made for both entities.
