Notes:
52.1 Scott dates this Bahawalpur #1 as 1947, Gibbons and Mackay as 1948. Gibbons starts in 1947 with 17 overprints of Indian stamps, thus making this SG18. This could also be considered the first commemorative as it celebrates the bi-centenary of the ruling family, bt as it is #1, I have taken the next commem., also in 1948.
52.2 This is the first real Pakistan stamp.
52.3 Mackay identifies a 1962 Pakistan airmail which must be the surcharge above, issued to celebrate the first jet flight from Karachi to Dacca. This is not really an airmail stamp; there is no airmail section in my 1976 Scott and I didn't find an airmail in a quick look at Gibbons.
52.4 French Occupied Germany is listed by area in Gibbons under Germany (Allied Occupation), French Zone. In Scott they are under German Occupation, Issued under French Occupation.

  Gibbons Scott
(a) General Issues (1945, previous page) numbered F1.. Numbered 4N1..
(b) Baden numbered FB1.. 5N1
(c) Rhineland Palatinate FR1.. 6N1
(d) Saar, which contains just a note that these are listed under Saar listed separately
(e) Württenburg FW1.. 8N1

52.5 French Occupied Württemberg Sc8N1-3 are dated 1948.

Notes:
53.1 Singapore used Postage Due labels from the Malayan Postal Union from 1948 until 1968.
53.2 Malacca's first stamp is also it's first commemorative. There were no commems of distinction subsequently. Similarly Penang and Perlis.
53.3 Scott starts Indonesia in 1950 with the USI. Gibbons begins in 1948 with Dutch Admin overprints, then slips in some 1945 issues for Java and Madura, then 1946 issues for Sumatra, before returning to the USI for 1950. I have listed Java and Sumatra separately.
53.4 Ryukyu Islands' C4 is affordable, unlike the C1.
53.5 For West Berlin, the first sensibly priced Charity is the 1953 issue.

53.6 Scott includes this set of two commemoratives (1d and 2½d) in the main Great Britain listing on the grounds that, although sold in the Channel Islands, they were valid for postage throughout GB. I don't follow the logic there.
