Notes:
56.1 For Morocco, Scott lists and numbers the Northern Zone separately. Gibbons lists them as subsections under Morocco and numbers them sequentially.
56.2 FSAT's #1 is a Madagascar overprint. Their first real stamp in Scott is the 1956 50c: Gibbons SG2 is dated 1959.
56.3  Scott lists Hadhramaut under Aden, after Shihr and Mukalla, and numbers them sequentially. I cannot find either Hadhramaut or Shihr and Mukalla in Gibbons Simplified 2004, but my 2001 lists both under Aden Protectorate States, numbering sequentially, as in Scott. Scott ends in 1963 and so does not list the commemorative o/p.
56.4 For South Vietnam, Scott numbers sequentially from Vietnam.
56.5 For the Riau-Lingga Archipelago, with SG1 costing 50 / 25 and SG2 a modest 1, the latter seems a more reasonable option. All the stamps are overprints.

Table 57

Notes:
57.1  #1 for IoM was issued in 1964. #2 was issued in 1958. See the IoM page for further details.
57.2 For Australian Antarctic Territory Sc-L4 Sg1 was issued in 1957, Sc-L1 Sg2 in 1959.
57.3 In Sco
tt, the Federation of Malaya follows on sequentially from Malaya, hence #80 being the first
57.4 In Scott, Malagasy Republic carries on from Madagascar with continuous numbering. Gibbons begins again at #1.
57.5
Scott calls it French Polynesia throughout, Gibbons Oceanic Settlements from 1892 until 1958 and thereafter French Polynesia. The Sc300 commemorative is the first stamp listed.
57.6 The United Arab Republic was formed in 1958, comprising Egypt and Syria. Syria left the republic in 1961. Scott and Gibbons number UAR sequentially after Egypt. Egypt continued with UAR stamps until 1971, when it switched to the Arab Republic of Egypt, again numbered sequentially in Scott and Gibbons.
57.7 Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man were all given GB regional issues in 1958, along with the mainland areas of Northern Island, Scotland and Wales. Postal independence was given to Guernsey (1969), Jersey (1969) and the Isle of Man (1973) and these are given separate listings. England got its first regional issue in 2001.
57.8 Scott begins the Republic of Togo in 1957 with, logically, the first stamp issued in that name, Sc332, SG194. Gibbons dithers, rather, starting an Autonomous Republic listing a few stamps earlier (Sc330 SG192, still inscribed just Togo) and then an Independent Republic Republic listing in 1960 (Sc376, SG253). Both catalogues number sequentially.
57.9 There is no Republic of Togo Official in Gibbons. Scott lists 8 issues thought to be in 1991 with a request for further information.
57.10 Gibbons and Scott over UAR Syria. Gibbon's first is Scott's last for pre-UAR Syria. Gibbon's (which is numbering sequentially), first commemorative if Scott's (which renumbers) #1. This also makes a mess of the airmails as these were issued as part of both these sets.
