Timor

The eastern part of Timor in the Indonesian archipeligo. Administered as part of Macao until 1896 , then as a separate Portugese Overseas Province until 1975. Following a civil war and the intervention of Indonesian forces the territory was incorporated into Indonesia on 17th July 1976. (SG)

An island in the south Atlantic Ocean west of South Africa. Following a volcanic erruption the island was evacuated on 10th October 1961, but resettled in 1963. (SG)

Trucial States

Seven Arab Sheikdoms  on the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman in treaty relations with Great Britain. Stamps were issued at the British Postal Agency in Dubai from 1961 until it closed on 14th June 1963.
Individual issues were later made by Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujeira, Ras al Khaima, Sharjah and Umm al Qiwain. (SG)

Notes
1. Gibbons still lists this stamp under Tanganyika, beginning Tanzania in 1965 with SG128 (Sc#5), 5 cents blue and orange depicting the Hale hydroelectric plant.
2. For Tuvalu, Gibbons starts a few stamps back with SG1 of 1976, a 4 cent tamp inscribed Separation January 1st 1974. I do not have a Scott number for this.
