There is a terrific book by
William Warmack, Composition with Cat: Lost Masterpieces of the Twentieth
Century where he presents a number of homages, each incorporating, as you might
guess, a cat. Here's
the Mondrian, and I can't resist including the Rothko. The Magritte is also
particularly fine, but you will have to buy the book for that. Click the images

In a similar vein
is Mutts of the Masters by Michael Patrick, detailed on the next page.
