USA 1 cent stamps

Note that as elsewhere on this site, I take the Simplified approach to stamps and rarely distinguish between perforation, watermark, paper or shade variants. Unlike Gibbons, I intend to list the first of each group of stamps, not the cheapest. As with GB, although the original intention was to show just the definitives, I have also included the pictorials and commemoratives. USA $1 stamps follow.

1851 Sc5 SG5 1c blue imperf £140,000 / £13,000		Franklin Both Scott and Gibbons list of variants on this 1c numbered Sc5-9 and SG5-11 for slight design changes. The cheapest of these is the 1852 Sc9 (Type IV) SG11 (Type IV) @ £250 / £75. The illustration is an Sc7 from APS.

1998 Sc3258 SG3533 (1c) multi 10p / 10p		Rooster weathervane. Makeup value after postal rate rise. The imprint date is in green blue: on Sc3257, SG3534 the date is black.
